WORLD TEAM
The Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation seeks to bring together athletes from across the country to form a team that will fundraise to support the CPWLF organization or a CPWLF athlete. The team will engage in altruism playing for those who cannot.
TEAM REQUIREMENTS
A Team Organizer or Coach completes the application process. The application process includes an expected community service/team service project and an application for the team.
The Team Application requires a thoughtful question, re: why the athlete wants to be on the team. Each CPWLF Team will pick who they are playing for. The Team can choose a player and explain why they have chosen this player or the may choose to have CPWLF solicit an athlete in the CPWLF program or a deceased player.
A minimum 16 of athletes per team is required. The CPWLF Board receives and votes to approve the each team.
Cost per Athlete
Cost includes tournament fee, uniform, guest coach and when possible, a unique experience (ie. team party or local college tour). Hotel is not included and is determined by Team Organizer.
$450: NO HELMET
$750: HELMET
$900: HELMET, POWELL LAX HEAD, POWELL HAT
Fundraising and collection of fees:
- Sponsors make checks payable to the individual who will submit payment to the Team Organizer or larger donations can be made directly on the website and ear marked to the individual for the non-profit donation benefits
- Checks need to be in 4 weeks prior to the tournament
